The last couple of months have been rather busy for HTC as the company has shipped the HTC U11 Plus, Pixel 2, and announced the new HTC Vive Focus VR headset. However, it seems that things still are not looking good for the Taiwanese-based company.
The latest revenue report has been shared, showing that HTC is down 6.61% for the month of November, and 26% on the year overall. The company had a total revenue of NT$58.1 billion for the first 11 months of 2017, marking a decrease of 19% when compared to the same period of time in 2016.
Things may be on the up-and-up on the company in the near future as the HTC Vive Focus is expected to launch in China, while another version will be released in other regions. We are also seeing reports of the HTC U11 EYEs which will be a mid-range or budget device, along with reports of the next flagship.
Speaking, of the HTC U12 will be the next flagship to be released by the company, but details at the moment are scarce. At the time, we are expecting to see a 4K display and a dual-camera setup, however, this display is likely to be one featuring a 2:1 aspect ratio as was found with the recently launched HTC U11 Plus.
As someone who used to be a huge fan of HTC after the release of the HTC One M7, it’s rather disappointing to see the company struggle to keep up with the rest of the market. However, the release of the U11 Plus gives some of us hope that HTC still has some neat tricks up its sleeves.
