Like so many devices before it, the BlackBerry Krypton hasn’t been the most well kept secret in mobile. The phone has already gained pretty all the usual certifications it needs before launch — Bluetooth, WiFi, FCC — with the biggest question being what the phone will actually look like when it’s officially unveiled later this year.
Leave it to the internet to post photos of the upcoming Krypton, well the back of the phone anyway. The phone sports a similar design to the BlackBerry KeyOne, only the Krypton (codename) is said to be a traditional, all screen smartphone, sans BlackBerry’s physical keyboard. Other specs fall in the mid-to-high range, with the Krypton rumored to be carrying a Snapdragon 625/626 processor, 1080p display, 4GB RAM, and an ample 4,000mAh. Yeah, expect this phone to go a few days without plugging in thanks to that chipset/battery combo. Wow.
There’s still nothing official yet, but BlackBerry is rumored to announce the phone sometime next month, so be on the lookout. This phone could have the stamina to go the distance.
