The Huawei Mate 10 gets shown off ahead of its official announcement

0

Every year around this time is one of the busiest times of the year as we see so many different OEM’s launch their latest flagship iterations. We’ve already seen the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, LG V30, and iPhone X, but there are even more devices on the way.

One such device is the Huawei Mate 10, which has been leaked and teased over the last month or so. At IFA 2017, the company gave everyone an announcement date of October 16th, which will take place during an event in Munich.

As we get closer to the official launch, we are beginning to see more information and leaks regarding the Mate 10. The above image comes from popular leakster, @evleaks, and claims that this is a picture of the device “in the wild”, which is somewhat believable due to the fact that you can tell the phone has been edited from a different picture.

As for the device, you can see a wider display and smaller bezels, although there’s nothing super dramatic on the front of a “bezel-less” design. Other than that, there’s not too much to tell from this image, save for what the icons and navigation bar will look like.

When it comes to what we are expecting on the spec front, here’s a breakdown:

  • 5.9-inch Display
  • Kirin 970 SoC
  • 6GB RAM
  • 64GB Storage
  • Android 8.0 Oreo

But the fun doesn’t stop there as the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is expected to launch at the same time as the Mate 10, but will feature a more dynamic design, along with higher specs. We’re a little less than a month away from Huawei’s official announcement, so be sure to keep your eyes turned to Phandroid as we learn more information about Huawei’s upcoming offerings.
