One of the best new features in Android 8.0 Oreo is support for AutoFill APIs. This allows users to choose an auto fill manager app to store autofill information. This info is then available to auto fill anywhere it’s needed. It’s an incredibly handy feature, but it only works if devs put it to good use. LastPass is doing just that.
The latest LastPass public beta takes advantage of the AutoFill API in Oreo. You can select LastPass as your auto fill manager. All of the info you have saved in LastPass, including credit card, address, and passwords will be available to fill in forms. You won’t have to grant permission for LastPass to use accessibility features as a work around anymore.
Keep in mind that this is a beta. The AutoFill APIs don’t currently work in all apps. Join the LastPass Google+ beta page to try the new feature out.
