After months of teases, leaks, anticipation, Nokia finally took the wraps off of its 2017 flagship device with the Nokia 8. The device features a gorgeous design, while including many flagship specs that you would expect from a device to compete against other flagships.
However, it seems that those of us here in the States won’t be having any part of the fun. During yesterday’s event, CNBC asked a Nokia representative about a global launch where it was stated that the Nokia 8 would not be coming to either the US or China.
This is a bit of a disappointment considering that the US has already seen the Nokia 3 and Nokia 6 launch, with the latter being a part of Amazon’s Prime-exclusive lineup. Those who were looking forward to Nokia’s resurgence in 2017 must be quite disappointed, but hopefully, the company led by HMD Global will reverse its course in the near future.
Let us know whether you would like to see the Nokia 8 in the US, or why you think it’s smart for Nokia to leave the US out of the equation.
