TYLT Vu Blade 2

The TYLT Vu Blade keeps your devices charged while looking good

Recently, we have been seeing an influx of devices which include wireless charging, and there are even more devices on the horizon which are expected to include this. However, many of the wireless charging options present a problem of being aesthetically pleasing while being used at your desk.

Other issues with the current selection of wireless chargers is that you can’t easily see when a new notification comes in, let along interact with it without picking your phone up off of the charger. Sure, you could go the boring route of just plugging it in, but where’s the fun in that?

That’s where the TYLT Vu Blade comes into play. This wireless charger offers multiple viewing angles, aiming to make it easy for you to keep your phone charged, allow you to keep an eye on what’s going on, and looking great in the process.

The Vu Blade is a 2-in-1 wireless charging pad, which makes it possible for you to use it as either a flat pad or an upright stand for your favorite smartphone. Plus, if you have a taller device (like the Galaxy S8 Plus), you can adjust the back to make it taller so that it fully supports the height of the device.

When you unbox the Vu Blade, it will come in its flat pad position, but switching to a stand is extremely simple. Just slide off the metal plate, slide up the back support pad, and slide in the metal bar just above the TYLT logo on the front. Then you’ll have an awesome desktop stand that can keep your phone charging while you’re working.

For better or worse, the TYLT Vu Blade isn’t powered by a USB Type-C or microUSB charging cable. Instead, the Vu Blade features a more traditional 15V AC adapter that plugs into the bottom of the the charging pad.

This standard adapter gives the Vu Blade the ability to offer both standard wireless charging or Fast Wireless Charging, if your phone is compatible. That means you’ll be able to fast charge your Galaxy Note 8 (when it’s launched) or Galaxy S8 lineup.

As you see in the above pictures, there’s an LED indicator on the left side of the Vu Blade, which lets you know when your phone is charging. When your phone is completely finished, the LED indicator turns off, which helps to make sure that your phone doesn’t overcharge, causing potential issues.

Finally, if you’re concerned with the Vu Blade potentially scratching up the back of your precious device, throw those concerns out the window. The wireless charger features a soft-touch surface, making sure your phone won’t move around, while also protecting it from any scratches that could occur.

However, there’s one slight problem with the Vu Blade, and that is its price. The Vu Blade isn’t the cheapest option around, but at $69.99, may be too expensive for some to swallow. However, if you head over to Amazon, the Vu Blade is currently priced at just $39.99, which is a savings of $30 and is definitely something that should be considered.
