Google Play now favors more stable apps in search results

0

Search in the Google Play Store is not that great, but Google continues to improve it. They understand that searching for apps isn’t quite the same as searching on the web. Different things need to be taken into account when you’re searching for apps and games. One of those things is stability.

Google has updated its ranking algorithm to put more weight on app stability. That means apps that are more stable will rank higher in search results. Apps with excessive battery drain, crashes, and lag will be pushed down. Google says people are already using apps more and uninstalling less because of the change.

This is another way to encourage developers to make great apps. Google is encouraging developers to use the new Android Vitals tool to make sure their app is performing well. Stable apps will get downloaded more. That’s a pretty big deal.
