Samsung has a lot to prove with the release of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8, as the world will have their eyes on the successor to a phone responsible for two recalls and flight bans across the world.
Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 in New York on August 23rd, but spokespersons for the company have confirmed that the device will go on sale on September 15th in South Korea. A price hasn’t been set yet, but it’ll be interesting to see how the Galaxy Note 8 stacks up against the LG V30, which is rumored to be released on the same day.
“Samsung Electronics decided on the release date of Galaxy Note 8.There is almost zero chance that it will change the release date of Galaxy Note 8.”
The release of the Galaxy Note 8 is about a month behind the release of the Galaxy Note 7, which debuted in August of last year. Other reports say Samsung is expecting a glut of interest and it could perhaps be the best selling phone in the Galaxy Note line thanks to the gap left by the Galaxy Note 7.
A slow trickle of leaks surrounding the Galaxy Note 8 has given us a good idea of what to expect ahead of the phone’s announcement.
