During the Galaxy S8 announcement event, Samsung also introduced a few new accessories which would complement your device extremely well. One of these accessories was an updated Samsung Gear 360, which takes 360-degree photos and videos, while also being able to record 4K video, and stream 360-degree video in 2K resolution.
However, Samsung was quiet when it came to sharing pricing or availability for the new Gear 360. That has changed as Engadget has confirmed the Gear 360 will launch tomorrow (May 25th) and will be available for $229, which is quite a price drop from the original Gear 360 ($349). The Gear 360 will also be available in stores, through Amazon, from your carrier of choice, and from Samsung directly.
Considering all of the various upgrades between the 2017 version and is predecessor, the price drop is definitely a welcome one. However, there is a bit of a bonus for those of you who have been holding off on picking up the Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus. If purchasing one of Samsung’s latest devices, you can get the Gear 360 for just $49 if you purchase it between May 25th and June 19th.
