Android Nougat is the latest and greatest version available for the majority of devices, but there are still some phones hanging around that have yet to receive the update. The Moto G4 Play is one of these devices to not see the update, despite the Moto G4 and G4 Plus already seeing the update.
However, Scott from Android Authority has received confirmation that the Nougat update is in the works. Through a Lenovo PR representative, the Moto G4 Play will begin receiving its update to Android Nougat starting in June.
If you’re an owner of the device, this may not be the timeline that you were hoping to hear. But on the bright side, at least you know your G4 Play isn’t being abandoned with no end in sight.
