Last week, at MWC, LG handed us the G6 the day before it was unveiled. Since the phone isn’t up for sale yet, we’re not ready for our full review, but we have spent quite a bit of time using the phone’s cameras. Rather than have you wait another week or so for our full review, we thought we’d share our first impressions of the cameras on the LG G6.
On the back, this phone sports dual-13 megapixel sensors. The first has a 71-degree f/1.8 lens with 3-axis optical image stabilization and phase detection autofocus. The second has a 125-degree f/2.4 wide angle lens. This means you can capture regular shots as you would with any other smartphone, but if the shot is too cramped, you can then zoom out to the wide angle view and pretty much fit the whole world in your shot.
The 5MP camera on the front is equipped with a 100-degree f/2.4 wide angle lens. It’s not quite as wide as the one of the back, but it’s still perfect for selfies and wide enough to fit in a few friends and your surroundings.
We could bore you to death with more technical details, but I think it would be lot more enjoyable if we just show you what the camera on the LG G6 can do.
