One of the most annoying things about modern phones is just how many spam calls you can get in one single day. I’ve been using a service called Should I Answer? to help block the amount of spam calls I receive on a daily basis, but now it looks like AT&T is bringing this feature to its customers directly with a new feature called Call Protect.
To activate the service, you’ll need to add the feature through your My AT&T app, or download the AT&T Call Protect app to your phone in order to reap the benefits of the service. AT&T says Call Protect should help protect its users from spam and fraudulent calls by automatically blocking fraud calls.
For numbers AT&T isn’t sure about but seem risky, AT&T will notify you that the call is likely spam so you can choose if you want to answer the call. AT&T notes that this feature will only work for customers who are in AT&T’s HD Voice coverage area.
