Meizu expands into Europe and other countries around the world

Meizu has been an up and coming manufacturer that has gained increasing popularity in China and now the company is looking to expand to more countries. Although there was no official announcement, Android Police discovered the company has listed a few more countries on its official sale page. Meizu is now available in the following countries:

These devices usually rest in the low to mid-range markets, but there is something special about Meizu smartphones. There are no Google apps pre-installed due to the company not being a “Google Mobile Services” partner. This means that when you start your device up for the first time, you won’t be able to immediately access the Play Store, or any other Google apps.

Instead, Meizu has a shortcut that allows you to install the various APK files and framework files that are necessary for Google’s apps to work. Considering that Meizu devices run FlymeOS, which is based on Android, but is not AOSP which explains why you’ll have to go elsewhere for the necessary files.
