Google is always trying out new things with the way it delivers search results both online and its own services, like the Google Play Store. Now according to a new report from Android Police, it looks like Google is experimenting with showing additional search terms that are related to the item you searched for. It’s very similar to what they’ve been doing on desktop for a few months now.
As you can see, Google provides a list of related terms at the top of its image search that looks very familiar to the new feature it’s trying out in the Google Play Store. Likely these further refinements of your searches are intended to help you find exactly the app you’re looking for based on what Google knows people search for concerning your topic.
It’s a nifty way to ensure people are coming away from the app store satisfied, but I wasn’t able to verify the interface on my ZTE Axon 7 or my Nexus 6P so it looks like this rollout is pretty exclusive right now.
Have you seen search suggestions like this in your Google Play Store?
