Samsung’s Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge officially announced
Samsung has a new color option for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on the way. It’s the Black Pearl model that we’ve heard a bit about in recent weeks.
It may seem an odd addition considering Samsung already has a black option for the Galaxy S7 Edge available in the original lineup — Black Onyx. Black Pearl is different. It’s more… striking, as Samsung puts it. They likely released it to compete with the Jet Black iPhone 7 that’s being pushed by Apple right now.
We honestly don’t think it looks all that much different compared to the Black Onyx model, with the main differentiator seemingly being the darker color of the frame that extends around the edges of the device. Whatever.
Samsung says the model will launch in select markets starting December 9th, and if you want one then you’ll have to spring for a 128GB model as they won’t make it available in any other configurations.
