Late last night, Niantic announced a new Pokemon GO update that would soon be rolling out across Android and iOS. Officially arriving as version 0.49.1, the new update brings a multi-select option for mass Pokemon transfers, other small UI improvements, as well as the usual “text fixes.” Here’s the full list:
- Trainers will be able to transfer multiple Pokémon at a time to Professor Willow. To use this function, press and hold on a Pokémon.
- Pokémon type icons have been added to the Gym battle approach and Gym battle screen.
- The total Candy count for your Buddy Pokémon has been added to the buddy information screen.
- The total kilometers a buddy has walked has been added to the information screen of each Pokémon that has ever been your buddy.
- Minor text fixes.
On the surface, it’s not a huge update, but anyone still farming Stardust knows the terrible inconvenience of having to transfer trash Pokemon 1-by-1. This just made player’s lives much, much easier. Seeing as how the update can take days to roll out everywhere, you can get a head start by sideloading the app directly from APKMirror down below.
