We’ve already seen that Niantic is preparing to launch the Gen 2 Pokémon into the Pokémon Go application, but there were still no concrete rumors as to when this update would be coming. However, according to new promotional material given to Starbucks employees, this Thursday, December 8th may be the day.
A few promotional images have appeared which shows that the next update to Pokémon Go will be arriving on December 8th and may be bigger than we expected. According to the images, Niantic will be partnering with Starbucks to turn every location into either a PokéStop or a full-fledged Pokémon Gym.
We’re low-key hoping that this update will be the one that brings us more than 100 new Pokémon, but there’s no mention of any specifics within the leaked memos. All that we can see is that the top of the memo states the following:
The world of Pokémon GO is about to expand with new Pokémon and a new Starbucks beverage!
Additionally, Starbucks will be launching a brand new drink by the name of “Pokémon GO Frappucino”. This drink will be made available to both players of Pokémon GO, as well as those who don’t play the popular mobile game. However, the memos also suggest that this drink will only be around “while supplies last”, so it won’t be around forever.
