Last week it was confirmed that Samsung Pay on the Gear S3 would work with any compatible Android device. This means that you can rest easy purchasing the latest smartwatch from Samsung while being able to take advantage of Samsung Pay despite not owning a Samsung smartphone.
In order to get this functionality working, you’ll need to download the latest version of Samsung’s Gear Manager application from the Play Store. Once complete, you will be able to set up Samsung Pay for the Gear S3 on your non-Samsung smartphone.
