LG has started issuing refunds to owners of problematic Nexus 5Xs

0

It’s no secret that the Nexus 5X has been experiencing more than a few issues since its release last year. It seems that there is one particular issue that is causing a boot loop on the device which can only be remedied by sending it in for evaluation.

According to a few Reddit users, LG has started offering full refunds for faulty devices. The issue appears to be hardware related and the company has run out of the parts needed to repair the problem.

We’re sorry to hear that you’ve experienced a problem with your LGH790 and appreciate you giving us the opportunity to provide a warranty repair. We have received your device at our repair facility but currently a part to complete the repair is out of stock and is no longer available.

To rectify this issue, we would like to offer you a refund for the full amount of your device. That amount will be determined by your sales receipt. Your refund can take approximately 4 weeks to receive due to the holiday.

Although this means you’ll likely be without a phone or the funds for at least a month, it’s good to see LG still offering this type of support. Let us know whether you’ve been experiencing problems on your Nexus 5X or if you’ve decided to upgrade to another device.
