The Samsung Gear S3 was unveiled during IFA 2016 and is Samsung’s latest smartwatch offering. The smartwatch is powered by Tizen OS and features a completely different design compared to its predecessor. The Gear S3 will even let you use Samsung Pay even if it isn’t paired with a Samsung smartphone.
After being launched in Samsung’s home country of South Korea on November 11th, the company has revealed that there have been over 25,000 units sold. This doesn’t account for units sold in other areas around the world, as it’s only been a few days since the Gear S3 was made available in other places.
Although Samsung confirmed the number of smartwatches sold, the company did not share which model (Classic or Frontier) is the more popular version. Additionally, it’s worth noting that although 25,000 does not seem like much, South Korea’s market is relatively small making this figure much better than it seems.
