Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S3 may be on track for a Q1 2017 launch

It looks like the Galaxy Tab S3 series is set to continue at some point in 2017. The device has seemingly appeared at Zauba’s import database, which is a sign that it’s currently undergoing international testing.

The database entry didn’t give any details beyond the fact that it’s a Samsung tablet, though previous rumors suggest it’ll be launched with a 9.7-inch display, the supposed sweet spot for big tablets (or so says Apple, anyway). We’re also expecting that display to be of the Super AMOLED variety.

It’s safe to say, then, that Samsung wants to bring something in the high-end segment to compete with the likes of the iPad (whereas the Galaxy Tab line without the S is more for those on tighter budgets). Anyway, Q1 2017 — that’s the release window to keep in mind if previous rumors are to be believed.
