LG V20 doubles the launch sales of the LG V10

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That was LG’s mantra for launching the successor to the LG V10 this year. The LG V20, as it’s known, doesn’t attempt to reinvent the wheel, with LG instead preferring to speak to their power users with a device that is chock full of powerful internals and specs. It earned high marks for that in our LG V20 review.

So, how does that translate to sales for LG? The company has revealed that the smartphone sold 200,000 units in its first 10 days of availability. To compare, they noted that the LG V10 sold 100,000 units. That’s a clean double, folks.

Of course, LG had a little help in achieving a 100% boost to smartphone sales, with Samsung having left a whole horde of folks in the dark due to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7’s recall. Without the best selling manufacturer’s 2016 juggernaut to compete with, it’s probably finding a lot of room for itself on many-a store shelf. Nevermind that, though — it’s doing well, and that’s all LG cares about as they continue to work through their mobile division’s struggles.
