The HTC Bolt lands at Sprint today at LTE Plus speeds
HTC and Sprint have announced the launch of the HTC Bolt. Available today at Sprint stores, the HTC Bolt gets its name from new network speed capabilities baked inside.
The device makes use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X10 LTE modem to take advantage of Sprint’s new LTE Plus data network. Sprint’s LTE Plus offers 3x20MHz carrier aggregation, a network improvement which is currently deployed in Chicago, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Cleveland and Columbus.
The device is outfitted with some nice hardware, including a Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and a 3,200mAh battery. It has a 5.5-inch Quad HD display that’s used to show you a beautiful Android 7.0 Nougat experience.
Other bells and whistles include NFC, BoomSound, Quick Charge 2.0, dual-band WiFi ac, IP57 dust and water resistance and a fingerprint sensor. The device also ships with a pair of USB Type-C headphones which can be used with BoomSound’s Adaptive Audio feature which listens for the environment around you to deliver the best audio settings.
The HTC Bolt is selling for $600 or 24 monthly payments of $25. Those who don’t mind signing a two-year contract with Sprint can pick up the phone for just $200.
