Xiaomi releases its latest Redmi 4 lineup of devices

Xiaomi has been quite busy over the last couple of months with the release of the Xiaomi Mi Box, Xiaomi Mi MIX, and Xiaomi Mi Note 2. However, it seems that the fun isn’t over yet as the company unveiled three new smartphones in the Redmi lineup.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is the base model of the group, settling in the low-range market with its 5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, 13MP camera while being powered by the Snapdragon 425 processor. The Redmi 4A also includes a 3,120mAh battery and 16GB of storage all for ~$74.

Xiaomi’s latest mid-ranger, the Redmi 4, features many of the same specs as the aforementioned Redmi 4A, with a couple of differences. Mainly, there is a slight processor bump with the 4A including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 processor. The Redmi 4 also will include a much larger battery than the 4A, coming in at 4,100mAh, but this extra bump in performance and battery will set you back ~$104.

Finally, the cream of the crop is the Redmi 4 Pro. The display on the Pro is bumped to a 5-inch 1080p display and also sees an increase with most of the other specs. With the Snapdragon 625 leading the way, the Pro also includes 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and the same 4,100mAh battery as the Redmi 4. The Redmi 4 Pro will only set you back ~$133, another $30 difference between Xiaomi’s devices.

All 3 devices have been upgraded to include a metal unibody, giving you a premium feeling without breaking the bank. Additionally, the Redmi 4 lineup also features fingerprint scanners placed on the rear of the device below the camera.

All of these devices are available now, but Xiaomi has something else planned which will join the Redmi “family” of devices. There are no indications as to what this new product will be, so we’ll have to hang tight and wait for the goodies to arrive.
