The OnePlus 3 is one of the best budget smartphones you can buy from this year but for the past few months, the rumor mill has been churning surrounding a second release this year called the OnePlus 3T. The device is rumored to cost about $80 more than the currently priced $400 OnePlus 3 and it will feature some upgraded specs over its older cousin.
The OnePlus 3T will likely feature a Snapdragon 821 chipset with 6GB of RAM and will feature 64GB and 128GB storage configurations. The rear-facing camera on the device will feature a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor and rounding all that out is a 3,300mAh battery. Rumors also suggest the OnePlus 3T will be available in black, for those who like the classic look when it comes to phones.
One thing that hasn’t been confirmed or denied either way is the rumor mill says the OnePlus 3T could feature an LCD screen instead of an AMOLED screen, but CEO Carl Pei has stated that his company is sticking with Optic AMOLED displays for the foreseeable future.
