You can now use IFTTT to create voice commands for Google Assistant

IFTTT (If This Then That) is a service that has been around for quite some time. The service allows you to connect various applications and platforms through different recipes. You can either create the recipes yourself, or you can create one yourself, provided you have all the correct information.

Starting today, there is now a Google Assistant landing page on IFTTT which is full of different recipes. Since the new Assistant is a staple of both the Google Home and Pixel devices, you can use these recipes with either device.

Currently, there are over 60 different IFTTT recipes that have been created, which, you can connect to over 250 different channels within IFTTT. Many of these recipes either help you control smart home products, or post to various social media platforms such as Twitter, Slack, or Skype.

Google Home is expected to be released on November 4th (next week!!!), so if you want to make sure that you are ready to go, you can head over to the Google Store and place your pre-order today. It would be a safe assumption that if you were going to wait to purchase Home until launch day, you may not be able to find it anywhere due to low stock.
