PayPal 6.0 update

You will soon be able send and receive money from PayPal in Facebook Messenger

PayPal is one of the leading forces in the world of making online payments. The company is constantly evolving and adding new features to keep its users happy, and as of today, has announced another partnership with Facebook.

The new feature will allow users to send and receive money from PayPal through Facebook Messenger. Currently, this feature is limited to a select number of users but will be rolling out to the masses over the coming weeks/months.

Users will be able to link their PayPal accounts within Facebook Messenger and will receive messages from a new Messenger Bot. Not only will you be able to send/receive money, but the PayPal Bot will also send you receipts within the app, as another way to keep track of what’s going on.

Once this feature is rolled out to everyone, here are the main benefits of the new PayPal integration with Facebook Messenger:

  • In the U.S., PayPal will start to roll out as a payment option across more of Facebook’s commerce experiences, including Messenger commerce.
  • It will be easy for PayPal customers to link their PayPal accounts to Facebook and Messenger at PayPal checkout.
  • PayPal customers in the U.S. will also be able to get notifications in Messenger, first starting with making it easier to manage receipts for PayPal transactions neatly in one place.

This isn’t the first time that Facebook has partnered with a company to help expand the commerce portion of its bot. The social media giant also partnered with Uber to make it easy to order a ride and pay for it through Facebook Messenger.
