The Pixel’s first update will arrive tomorrow but doesn’t bring anything fancy

0

The Pixel and Pixel XL have started shipping to some and has arrived for others, and it seems that the first software update will be coming to devices tomorrow. According to Verizon’s support page, the update will do nothing more than improve Wi-Fi connectivity.

The support page also shows that the build number will be updated to version NDE63P, and Verizon recommends either connecting to a Wi-Fi network (lulz) or using Verizon’s network to download the update. According to Droid Life, those Pixel’s that are already in the hands of owners are running Android 7.1 Nougat with the build number of NAE63P.

So if you happen to receive your Pixel or Pixel XL in the coming days, don’t freak out that there’s a new software update already available and just make sure that your device is ready to go once the update hits your new device.
