Now that the Galaxy Note 7 debacle has all but ended, Samsung has turned its sights onto its “next big thing”, the Galaxy S8. We’ve already seen a few rumors sprout up which suggest there will be 2 variants, a dual-camera setup, and a new AI assistant added on the software side. Other rumors have suggested the device will feature an all-new design which may be extremely welcomed as some suggested the design was the downfall of the Galaxy Note 7.
“Samsung has notified its suppliers not to mention a single word on the Galaxy S8”
However, this latest rumor has nothing to do with the device itself. A new report from Korea Herald details that the Samsung brass has issued a gag order to its employees and suppliers in an effort to keep things quiet. Whether it is for the sake of competition or to try to avoid any more backlash, Samsung is doing everything it possibly can to keep the Galaxy S8 under wraps.
Since rumors around pretty much every device spring leaks like the Niagara Falls, it will be interesting to see just how much information regarding the Galaxy S8 is revealed. There have yet to be any rumors around when Samsung will be unveiling the device, but looking at the last few years, we are targeting February as that is when the 2017 Mobile World Congress will take place.
