HTC’s revenue for September jumps 41%
HTC isn’t out of the weeds, but the company’s revenue report for the month of September shows that things are heading in the right direction. Last month HTC pulled in NT$ 9,332 billion in revenue. That figure is 41% higher than HTC’s revenue in August and is also the highest monthly revenue figure the company has posted since November of 2015. September is also the only month this year in which the company’s revenue increased (up 31.3%) when compared to the same month in 2015.
The company did not disclose a specific reason for the increase in revenue, but the upcoming retail launch of the Pixel and Pixel XL may have something to do with it. While the new Google phones won’t be available until October 20, there’s a good chance that Google has already paid HTC for the first production run of the two devices. We’re hoping HTC will give us a bit of insight once it releases its Q3 financial report in early November.
