We’re only a couple of days out from seeing the first phones that have been made in-house by Google, but it’s never too early for sales predictions. The Pixel and Pixel XL were manufactured by HTC, but these devices are 100% Google through and through. So how will the first ever “Phone by Google” sell?
An analyst at Digitimes is estimating that Google will sell around 3-4 million Pixel phones before the end of 2016. That would be well under iPhone 7 sales and even sales of the fire hazard known as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. But it’s also a respectable number for the first phone made by Google. The Verizon exclusivity will likely contribute to the low sales.
Have you pre-ordered one of the Pixel phones yet? Do you plan on buying one after reviews?
