Google Home is now up for pre-order and will be coming to you later this year for $129 [VIDEO]

Google Home is the company’s answer to the Amazon Echo lineup and was initially shown off at Google I/O 2016. The device acts as a hub for everything you need to do from searching to casting media or playing music. Google Home can even control various smart home accessories such as the Nest Thermostat thanks to the inclusion of Google Assistant.

Now that the wraps have been taken off the full project, you can pre-order Google Home for just $129, which is $50 cheaper than the Amazon Echo, which is priced at $179. Home features a 2″ driver, dual 2″ passive radiators, and “Far-field voice recognition” which helps make sure that you and Home are communicating seamlessly.

Google Home is available for pre-order starting today for just $129 and will commence shipping in early November. Google also stated that Home will be available for purchase from retailers such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart starting on November 4th. Google is even throwing in a 6-month free trial for YouTube Red, making it easier to view your favorite content or listen to your favorite music, without any commercials.

Finally, Google threw a bit of customization into the Home to make sure that it matches whichever room you choose to put it in. The base of Home can be replaced and customized with 7 different color options, and will cost $20 if you want to swag things up a bit.
