The BlackBerry DTEK60 may be the company’s 2016 flagship device

We seem to be nearing the official release of the BlackBerry DTEK60 which first made an appearance earlier this month when it passed through China’s TENAA database. Now, thanks to the folks at WinFuture.de, we have a full look at what the device will bring when it comes to the market.

The DTEK60 is the follow up the DTEK50 which was released back in July and retains a similar design to that of the Alcatel Idol 4. In fact, we will not see another device actually manufactured by BlackBerry after they confirmed their plans to license the manufacturing process to TCL.

Speaking of which, the body of the DTEK60 ad DTEK50 look almost identical with the exception of the fingerprint sensor, BlackBerry logo, and rear camera placement. The rest of the device, with its rounded edges and front firing speakers, is the same as that of the DTEK50.

As for when we can expect to see this device released into the wild, the report from WinFuture suggests an October 11th release for $699 CAD (~$530). With this only being a few weeks away, we don’t have too much longer to wait to see what appears to be BlackBerry’s new flagship.
