We’re not sure when this pricing war in the Chinese market is going to end, but we’re liking where it’s going so far. LeEco’s latest bombshell is a $300 smartphone in their Le Pro lineup, the third such edition.
For $300 we wouldn’t blame you for doing an about face without second thought, but hear them out:
- Chipset: Snapdragon 821
- Display: 5.5-inch 1080p with 2.5D glass
- Memory: 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage
- Camera: 16MP f/2.0 rear, 8MP front
- Battery: 4,070mAh
- Software: Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
- Dimensions: 7.5mm thin
- Other: USB-C w/o 3.5mm
Granted, a lot more goes into a successful phone than sheer horsepower, but $300 for top-end specs and seemingly solid build quality seems like a steal that should be closely considered for anyone in the market. Unfortunately, you’ll have to be in China if you want one in the near future, as LeEco hasn’t announced plans for availability outside their home country just yet.
