With Android 7.0 Nougat, Google finally introduced multi-window functionality for apps. This would allow you to run two apps concurrently so you can take your multitasking to the next level.
Unfortunately, the apps which support the feature are dictated by developers’ willingness to support it. This is likely to avoid any issues where an app doesn’t behave properly when it isn’t the sole star of the show.
But if you want to be able to use any app you want in split-screen (such as games which naturally want to consume as much of your display possible), you’ll be happy to learn there’s a very easy way to do that. All you’ll need is an Android 7.0 Nougat device, the ability to toggle a setting, and a quick phone reboot. Here’s the full rundown:
The last step is necessary as you will otherwise retain the OS’s limitations. Once you’re rebooted, though, you should be able to open any app you want in split screen view.

It’s worth noting that some apps do misbehave in this mode. For instance, Netflix playback may pause when you put the other app into focus, something that obviously goes against the whole idea of “productivity.”
As such, your mileage may vary with which apps you can fully use and how they’ll behave. If you don’t like that “spaghetti to the wall” approach, then urge the developers of your favorite apps to add proper support as soon as possible.
