It appears that Xiaomi is readying the launch for yet another device, the Xiaomi Mi 5s. Rumors of the device first appeared in June, where it was rumored the Mi 5s would feature a pressure sensitive display (3D/Force Touch), and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Then more rumors cropped up in July regarding the cameras, as rumors started stating the Mi 5s would include a dual-camera module which was manufactured by Samsung.
Now, it seems that the cats out of the bag, as a spec sheet has been leaked showing off what the Mi 5s will include under the hood when the device is released.
- 5.15-inch display with 3D touch
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor
- 6GB RAM
- 256GB Storage
- 16MP rear-facing camera (4K video recording at 30fps)
- 3,490mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0
- USB Type-C charging port
We still don’t know when Xiaomi is expecting to officially launch this device, but this would mark the second device released with the Snapdragon 821 processor, following the ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe. Unfortunately, this device probably won’t make its way stateside without purchasing through companies such as GearBest, so we’ll have to wait for the new Pixel devices to get a device with the Snapdragon 821.
