BLU introduces the VIVO 5R which combines the VIVO 5 and VIVO XL for under $200

Another day, another interesting budget device has hit the market. The latest entrant to the budget market comes from BLU with the VIVO 5R. The device is being touted as a “refresher” for the VIVO 5 and the VIVO XL and combines the best of both worlds.

BLU VIVO 5R Specs: 

• 5.5-inch Full HD display
• MediaTek 6753 Processor
• 3GB RAM
• 32GB storage expandable via MicroSD
• 8MP front camera
• 13MP rear camera
• 3,150mAh battery
• USB Type-C Charging Port
• Android 6.0 Marshmallow

We’ll have to see how the MediaTek processor performs, as it doesn’t have the greatest reputation, but maybe the kinks have been worked out this time around. In addition to these impressive specs, BLU has added a fingerprint sensor which has been placed on the rear of the device, with capacitive buttons on the front of the device. And for those who were wondering since it’s been in the news recently, the VIVO 5R still includes your trusty 3.5mm headphone jack.

The BLU VIVO 5R will be released on September 21st and will be available in either Solid Gold or Gun-Metal Grey from Amazon. Starting today, you can pre-order the device for just $199.99 with free shipping for Amazon Prime members.
