As diehard fans of Google and Nexus devices, we have been impatiently awaiting the arrival of this year’s crop of Google devices, including the “Pixel” devices and Google Home. A new report from Android Police suggests that on October 4th, Google will hold an event where we will get a slew of new products that have been in the works for some time.

As for what’s expected to be announced or detailed at the event? Here’s a list of what has been reported so far:

  • Pixel smartphones (Pixel/Pixel XL)
  • 4K-enabled Chromecast
  • Google Home
  • Google’s Daydream device (Daydream Viewer)

While we aren’t expecting Google to officially launch Google Home to consumers, we are expecting to learn more about the upcoming device. It’s also possible that developers will be able to get their hands on the device around this date so that app developers can begin getting ready for the official launch.

Aside from the date, nothing else is known in regards to timing or location. Based on last year’s Nexus launch, Google held the event in San Francisco, but Google has been known to hold events in New York as well. It’s still all just a waiting game and one that is becoming more and more frustrating.

Drop us a line below and let us know what you’re most excited for from this year’s crop of Google devices and why.
