Amazon has a great deal on the first-generation Samsung Gear VR today. The headset is going for just $60, which is $40 off its usual retail price.
The Samsung Gear VR headset uses your Samsung smartphone to deliver affordable virtual reality experiences. Here’s a list of all the compatible phones:
- Samsung Galaxy S7
- Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
- Samsung Galaxy S6
- Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
- Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+
- Samsung Galaxy Note 5
You’ll notice the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is missing, and that’s because it uses a USB-C port which the original Gear VR doesn’t support. If you want a headset for your Note 7 you’re going to have to go with the newer version that’s still retailing for its MSRP of $99.99.
