Heads-up: AT&T has a new phone launching tomorrow. It’s the Kyocera DuraForce Pro, a rugged smartphone that has a whole lot of tricks up its sleeve. It won’t top the charts in areas of performance, but it can take a beating, and its dual rear camera setup is pretty interesting.
The device features a standard 13-megapixel camera, but also a Super Wide View HD action camera that’s perfect for recording your outdoor activities. This built-in GoPro-like camera can be mounted to almost anything using a standard mount connection.
And, of course, its MIL-STD 810 and IP68 water certification scores means you can use the phone in almost any situation, even under water. It’s a pretty nice package for the $420 it’ll cost you over the course of 24 or 30 months.
The question is whether it’s nice enough to be crowned the king of durability in our best rugged Android phones list. We’ll aim to answer that question once it’s made available from AT&T. For now, be sure to check our rankings out straight ahead if you haven’t already.
