Here are the T-Mobile devices that will be seeing an upgrade to Android Nougat

When Google releases a new version of Android, the biggest question for non-Nexus users is: “Will my device receive the update”. With the fragmentation issues that continue to plague Android, the previous question an extremely important and valid one. Sometimes, manufacturers make an outright announcement of which devices will be supported, but other times we are left in the wind just wondering what’s going to happen.

T-Mobile is taking the guess work out of the equation for a number of devices, as it has listed which devices from HTC and Samsung will be receiving the update to Android 7.0 Nougat. The list isn’t surprising as it includes devices that have been released within the last two years.

The Android 7.0 Nougat landing page on T-Mobile’s website gives an explanation as to what goes into the entire process and lists three main stages:

Questionably, there are no LG devices listed on this page, leaving us wondering what LG’s plans for the Android 7.0 Nougat are, outside of the LG V20. Although LG has yet to make any official announcements as to when the LG G5 or LG V10 will see the update, the company is usually better than the rest in getting the latest Android update out to users.
