Last week, Huawei threw a big shindig to announce the upcoming launch of their 2nd big smartphone for the US: the Honor 8. With a premium, insanely shiny, build and top notch specs, the $400 price tag is certainly a compelling option for those looking to save a little money on their next smartphone purchase.

At an event in Paris (and several others around Europe), Huawei has now revealed that the phone will be available for pre-order starting today, priced at £369.99 in the UK, and €399 everywhere else. Huawei’s vMall online store will get first dibs, with a few added perks like that Asphalt 8 car packs, 3 months of Deezer and other options totaling £69.99. Of course, you can also expect to find the phone at various other retailers like Clove, Expansys, Amazon (with a free Fire TV Stick) and the like.

The Honor 8 carries a lot of hardware similarities with the Huawei P9, including dual 12MP camera lenses on the back. They don’t have the Leica branding, but you can expect mostly the same output thanks to one capturing full color stills, while the other captures a more detailed monochrome image. Aside from that, the Honor 8 features a generous helping of 2.5D glass covering the front and back of the device, with a premium metal frame sandwiched in between.

I, personally, have been loving my time with the Honor 8 and it has (shockingly) become my daily driver. With its unrivaled speed, small form factor, and fantastic photo capabilities, it’s a smartphone anyone would feel — honored — have in their pocket.
