The official ‘What’s New in Android 7.0 Nougat’ (release notes)

Android 7.0 Nougat is officially launching today for Nexus devices. For everyone else, you’ll have to wait until your respective manufacturer and carrier get around to pushing out the update, but in case you’re wondering how bad you should be waiting in anticipation, Google has provided their official “what’s new in Android 7.0 Nougat” changelog. As you can see, there’s lots of new additions outside some of the main ones covered in the Android N betas. Although on the surface, Android 7.0 might seem like just another Android update, there’s plenty going on the behind that scenes that’s sure to make this one of the most sought after updates ever.

As for when you’ll see it outside of Nexus devices, it appears the upcoming LG V20 will be the first device to come out of the box with Nougat. Expect updates for existing non-Nexus devices later this year.
