Moto Z Play to swap the Moto Z’s back metal panel with glass

Leaked images of the upcoming Lenovo Moto Z Play have surfaced, revealing that the phone will share the same basic design with the Moto Z. The front of Moto Z Play is indistinguishable from the Moto Z, but the back of the handset is slightly different, trading in the Moto Z’s metal back for a glass one. It’s not evident in the photos of the white Moto Z Play, but the photo of the black handset shows a circular pattern in the glass panel, centered around the camera module.

A photo of the Lenovo Moto Z Play from last month showed that the phone will include a 3.5mm headphone jack, but all other design elements appear to match those of the Moto Z. This will allow the Moto Z Play to be fully compatible with the Moto Mods that are available for the Moto Z and Moto Z Force. The Moto Z Play is only expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and 3GB of RAM, but it will likely feature a 3,500 mAh battery. No

The Moto Z Play is only expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and 3GB of RAM, but it will likely feature a 3,500 mAh battery. No official release date has been given, but there’s a good chance that the device will be unveiled at IFA at the end of the month.
