Last week, we saw some benchmarks for the Nexus Sailfish. Now, we have some benchmarks for the second device a.k.a. the Nexus Marlin. Both devices are expected some time next month, but we already know a lot about them. The Nexus Marlin is the more premium of the two HTC-made Nexus devices.
The AnTuTu benchmarks for the Marlin confirm a few rumored specs we’ve already heard. It will have a QHD 2560×1440 display (the Sailfish is 1920×1080). The Marlin will also have a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. Android 7.0 Nougat is also on board. Camera wise, we’re looking at 13MP on the back and 8MP on the front.
The only real difference right now between the Sailfish and Marlin is the screen resolution. If that holds true, the Sailfish will likely be the more popular device. 1080p displays are still perfectly fine and better on battery. If you can get these same specs in a cheaper, smaller package, would you?
