This is the week: August 19th — which is this Friday — is the official launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Those who have pre-ordered the device are likely fixated on their inboxes to see if their orders have shipped.
Well, they are shipping, with numerous reports coming in from T-Mobile and Verizon faithful that shipping numbers are going out. While many folks are being shown a Thursday or Friday delivery date for the phone, it’s possible that devices could come in even earlier than that. Being a former customer of all carriers, I can attest to the occasional surprise of having a device hit my doorstep even well ahead of its original shipment estimation.
In any case, it sounds like those who order should have their phones by the time the official date hits, barring any unusual circumstances. If you need something to do in the meantime, Samsung has posted a video of the device being unboxed to give you a sneak peek at the experience you’ll be treated to once it’s in your hands. Of course, if you’d rather not spoil that moment then pass on by and act like nothing happened. Has your Galaxy Note 7 started shipping yet?
