Samsung has started pushing its latest security patch update to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, but owners are in for a bit of a surprise. In addition to being updated with the August Android Security Patch, Samsung has decided to sneak in Samsung Cloud.
This cloud service was introduced alongside the Galaxy Note 7 at Samsung Unpacked 2016 and hopes to be an easy way for users to access your synced files on a new device. What makes this so surprising is that Samsung is rolling out a feature for the Note 7 before the device has been made available.
According to the report by SamMobile, Samsung Cloud is expected to make its way to owners of the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, and the Galaxy Note 5 within the next few months. It’s probably just a waiting game for Samsung to make sure that all the kinks are worked out before releasing the cloud services with a brand new device.
The update is available today and weighs in at 151.89MB and you can get download it either via Samsung’s Smart Switch PC software, or by waiting for that pesky notification to appear in your notification shade.
