IFA 2016 is sneaking up on us faster than we say stop, but that doesn’t mean the leaks haven’t stopped rolling in. The latest is in regards to the latest smartwatch coming from ASUS, the ZenWatch 3.
The above images shows off a new smartwatch which is rumored to be the new ASUS ZenWatch 3 and features a brand new design when compared to the ASUS ZenWatch 2. It seems that company is moving away from the squared watch face in favor of a more traditional round option. The image above also shows three buttons on the edge which give it even more of a traditional feeling with a crown and two function buttons.
As for the charging, it appears that the ZenWatch 3 will feature a magnetic ring that will snap onto the bottom of the watch and then charge via the included USB charging brick. We are also expecting for the ZenWatch 3 to include fast charging to make sure you can keep your ZenWatch 3 up and running all day long.
It also appears that ASUS is opting to make it easy to swap your watch bands, as with many other smartwatch manufacturers today, but we can’t tell just how easy these bands can be changed just yet. According to FCC certifications earlier this week, the upcoming ZenWatch will include Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi support, but nothing else quite yet.
As IFA 2016 creeps closer, this is probably our first look at the final product from ASUS. It’s very reminiscent of the 2016 Moto 360, but seems a bit thicker. This could be due to the images and angles, but we’ll have to wait and see what’s to come in the next month.
