LG V20 will have the world’s first 32-bit Quad DAC
LG is trickling out more info regarding the LG V20 today. After revealing it will be the first smartphone to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, LG has announced that it will also be the world’s first smartphone with 32-bit Quad DAC audio built in.
If you aren’t aware, DAC stands for digital-to-audio converter, and is a key component in audio players for delivering crisp and high-quality audio for the best listening experience. The DAC inside the LG V20 is developed by ESS Technology, and its 32-bit Quad DAC technology will provide 50% more ambient noise reduction than the LG V10’s 32-bit HiFi DAC for video recording, so you can help eliminate the loud, unwanted noises that lesser devices tend to pick up.
