Never miss important news again: EarlyBird adds topic-based notifications

0

Staying on top of Android news was made delightfully easy with the launch of EarlyBird – News for Android, earlier this year. Today the app saw a huge update that makes it even more powerful: users can now follow specific topics and get breaking news notifications when there are relevant updates for the topics they follow.

Whether you want to stay on top of a rumored device like the Nexus Sailfish, follow developments of your favorite app or game like Pokemon GO, or track a breaking story as it develops, EarlyBird now lets you do it all. From the “Topics” tab or any related news card, simply tap the name of the topic you want to follow and you’ll instantly toggle on instant notifications for that topic.

In the three screenshots above, you can see a user following the “Deals” topic who then got a notification when a new deal was published, and they tapped the notification to directly access the story of interest.

EarlyBird has already been getting sensational reviews on the Google Play Store and with this latest update, things are only getting better. If you haven’t already, download it here, give it a try, and let us know what you think in the comments!
